Reports & moderation
Information under the Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065) — October 2026
Single point of contact
Authorities and users can reach us at smartbouwbv@gmail.com (English, Dutch, French).
Reporting content
Every listing has a "Report this listing" button, usable without an account. Explain as precisely as possible why you believe the content is illegal or breaches our terms. If you leave your e-mail address, we confirm receipt and tell you our decision.
How we moderate
- Automated checks at publication for known fraud indicators (suspiciously low price, payment instructions, links or e-mail addresses in the text, prohibited words, suspicious behaviour). A flagged listing is not refused automatically but reviewed by a staff member first.
- Manual review of flagged listings and of all reports, by a staff member.
- Measures: rejecting a listing (the seller can correct it), removing it, or blocking an account for serious or repeated breaches such as fraud.
Statement of reasons
For every restriction the seller receives an e-mail stating the measure, the reason (legal or contractual ground), the facts, whether the decision was (partly) automated, and the available means of redress.
Appeals and complaints
Disagree with a decision — as a seller or as a reporter? You can file a free complaint within 6 months by replying to our e-mail or writing to smartbouwbv@gmail.com. Another staff member reviews the decision and informs you of the outcome. You can also use a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body or go to court.
Dealers
Professional sellers must provide their company name, company number, address and phone number, which are shown with their listings so buyers know who they are dealing with. We check company numbers for validity and may verify them in the Belgian Crossroads Bank for Enterprises.
Misuse
Anyone who repeatedly posts manifestly illegal content or repeatedly submits manifestly unfounded reports may be temporarily suspended after a prior warning.
